Every once in a while I come back to this site when something reminds me of it. I've made several journal posts talking of being "back," but in reality I'm just far too busy with work and other pursuits to commit the time and energy to writing here. Most of the writing I do nowadays consists of the random musings and technical potpourri I drop onto my blog, or specifications for my job. I derive as much pleasure out of those things as I do creative writing, and since the former is more closely tied to my career and life paths, that is what I end up doing more often than not.
As a consequence of more infrequent visits to the site, my Deviant Watch has fallen by the wayside. There are a lot of very talented people on it, and one shouldn't assume my lack of activity on the site correlates to a decline of interest or appreciation.
Once again though, I *have* been returning to the site and basking in the nostalgia of my not-so-far-gone-youth - a time when I had posted to the forums about this new up and coming band called Fall Out Boy that I had just seen - so I wouldn't call this a goodbye message. More like... a let's just be friends message. A "Dear John (slash Jane)?"
I have been keeping semiregular updates on my blog, so if you really care that much you can visit me at it via my website link. Otherwise, I'll see you all around.
(Man, I really liked Fall Out Boy back then.)
